This is an Asbestos Cement Flue.
It is in
an area visited by the public. It is in good condition, it is unlikley to to be a health problem. Anyone required to work on the roof should be made aware of the possibility of some, all be it low levels of asbestos in the area.
These Floo
r Tiles contain Chrysotile They are in good condition and pose a very low health hazard. If removed the person carrying out the work should be made aware of the asbestos content.
This Insulation Board was found in the
roofspace of an industrial unit. It contained Amosite. The area is infrequently used, the board in very good condition but unsealed. Encapsulation (gloss paint) was applied and the board clearly labeled.
Vinyl Floor T
iles found to have a Chrysotile content. Although of a extreamly low health threat, anyone undertaking work or disposal of this substance should be made aware. The area was carpeted over.
Flooring in a residential property. The mate
rial was spotted by a carpet fitter who was suspicious. The occupant had removed the carpet whilst decorating and the material was breaking up badly. Unfortunately the material contained >50% Chrysotile. Removal was required but the occupants had been exposed to the loose material.
This industrial unit has an Asbestos
Cement Roof and Cladding to the sides. Some panels are cracked and need to be replaced. Material similar are now available but do not have an asbestos content.
